There were times I felt I wanted to know the characters better, but again, nothing distracting. I felt there were a few slow moments, but nothing distracting. Dialogue is solid, and the story moves quickly. A life where collective thought has brought humanity to its end. As is typical in dystopian-and what causes me to love it-is people’s acceptance of such a bleak life. Death and mayhem exist everywhere, and people don’t seem to care. I loved the beginning, where the author set up a bleak world. The Immortality Virus was a wonderful read. Homelessness and slavery are the norm as people struggle to get by. Now, the powerful elite, The Establishment, rule the world.įood is limited. Few knew why, and the Change cast the world into despair. Four hundred years ago, humans stopped aging. It’s the future, and the world is in chaos. I had never heard of this author, nor read her work. I received an advance copy from the writer.
